Flower Girl Collaborative Digital Collage

So I was tooling around the Web the other day and ran across a very interesting site: Fan Art Review.  It features art, photography, sculpture, and writing by various artists, and I immediately began exploring.  One fabulous photographer I’ve met there is “esgjag“–a talented Chicagoan.  One photograph he posted of a dahlia in his garden has an EYEBALL in the center!  See it here!

A while back, I painted “Hippie Flower Girl”.  The painting sold, but I was never quite pleased with it.  In the original, her eyes are shut.  After I saw esgjag’s photo, I got a spark of inspiration–my hippie girl needs flower eyes!  With his kind permission, I’ve now incorporated his flower into my painting, creating this digital collage.  Much better!  Rock on!
